Car Parking

As from Monday 20 April, West Devon Borough Council is running a 12-month trial in charging a flat fee of £2 per day in three of its long-stay car parks in Tavistock. Two of these are in fairly close proximity to the Bowls Club.  For further details click on the Car Parking heading above.

Outdoor Bowling Opening Day

The Opening Day for the outdoor bowls was held on Saturday 18 April with over 50 Club Members attending to play the first game of the season.  As President of the Club, The Mayor of Tavistock, Cllr Harry Smith, bowled the first wood.

Cheque Presentation

imageTwo members of the Bowling Club, Tony Boxall and Ray Fielding, attended a function at the Town Hall on Thursday 16 April to receive a cheque from Tavistock Town Council for £3,500 which was a grant towards the building of the new toilets adjoining the clubhouse.

The Short Mat players met for the last time in the current season on Thursday 9 April.  The evening started with the final games which were followed by the presentation of trophies for the various competitions and then a social evening for members.
