The Club held its closing outdoor home game of the season on Sunday 20th September with a match between the Men’s Captain side and the Ladies’ Captain side – over 60 members, family and friends enjoyed a barbeque afterwards. The Short Mat season starts immediately – more details can be found on the Short Mat tab above.
Fifty-one Club members took part in a very enjoyable tour staying for three nights in Weston-Super-Mare. During the four-day tour, they played against sides at Clevedon, Wellington, Burnham-on-Sea and North Petherton.
The Club has come third in the Plymouth & District Triples League with 84 points behind Civil Service in second place with 88 points and Plymstock in top place with 94 points. There were 13 teams in the League, so Tavistock Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club did extremely well.
