The Club held its Opening Day for the outdoor season on Saturday 13 April. The Deputy Mayor (Councillor Mrs Anne Johnson) and her Consort (Mr Paul Johnson) attended along with nearly 50 bowlers. The Mayor, as President of the Club, officially opened the Green by bowling the first wood of the season. Despite chilly & windy weather, the players enjoyed their first afternoon of bowling in the 2019 season.
