The second playing of the ‘Boys v Girls Challenge Match’ was played on 11 December with the ‘Boys’ eager to reverse the defeat they suffered last year. It didn’t go to plan though, with the ‘Girls’ winning by six shots after 18 ends.
The ‘Girls’, captained by Linda Becker, led on both mats at the tea interval and, despite a pep talk by the Men’s Captain, Brian Davis (playing left handed), the ‘Boys’ failed to make up the deficit.
So, it’s congratulations to the winning Skips, Linda Becker and Sandra Johnson, and gloomy faces for the ‘Boys’ Skipped by Paul Chaney and Brian Hillan.
