The Club held its Opening Day on Saturday 27 April which was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Tavistock, Councillor Harry Smith, and the Deputy Mayoress, Mrs Mary Smith.  The Deputy Mayor opened proceedings by bowling the first bowl of the season. Forty Club members were present and played an enjoyable opening game on a sunny if breezy afternoon.
