Around 40 members attended to take part in a final game of bowls before the Green was closed on Saturday 25 September. This marked the end of the outdoor bowls season for 2021 and was followed with a very enjoyable BBQ.

Mick Clark was recently awarded his Devon Colours after representing Devon in a County match against Dorset. To qualify for the award, a player has to amass 30 competition points. Only one point is awarded for winning any round in Devon-wide competitions, so it has taken several years to gain the total amount required.

A ‘Tea, Cake & Bowls Afternoon’ held on August Bank Holiday Monday raised £416, which was presented to Steve Hartley to assist with expenses to enable him to take part in competing in Visually Impaired Bowls matches.
