As part of the ongoing centenary celebrations, members were asked to wear the attire of 1914 to a game played on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 May.

Visit by Bowls England Players



The Club played host to 24 Bowls England players and their guests on the exact date (20 May) that the Club was first formed 100 years ago. The day started with the Bowls England President, Mr Adie Lloyd, formally opening the new Clubhouse extension by unveiling a plaque on the outside of the building. This was followed by a buffet lunch which was also attended by the Mayor of Tavistock, Mr Harry Smith, and Cllr Debo Sellis. The afternoon saw six rinks playing very competitively with the visitors winning by 21 points overall. The day finished off with an evening meal in the Clubhouse.
Visit by Bowls Devon
Centenary Celebrations
During the coming week, the Club will host visiting teams from Bowls Devon (15 May) and Bowls England (20 May) as part of the centenary celebrations. The Bowls England visit will also see the official opening of the Clubhouse extension.
Men’s Evening League
After three games in the new season Tavistock are top of Division B of the Plymouth & District Evening League. This follows their promotion at the end of last season.
