The Club has just been notified that it has been successful in its application to Tavistock Town Council for grant funding towards the new toilet facilities. The Club has been awarded £3,500 from the Council’s 2015/2016 budget. This now brings the Club very close to achieving the goal of £25,000 required to build the toilets and is very grateful for all the support it has received.

Lottery Grant Success
The Club has been successful in a bid for Lottery funding towards the construction of new toilet facilities adjoining the Clubhouse extension completed in 2014. The Big Lottery ‘Awards For All’ has today announced a £10,000 grant towards the £25,000 cost of the project. As well as finance from the Club itself, Devon County Council is providing £2,500 and other grant applications are pending.
The Big Lottery Fund is responsible for giving out 40% of the money raised for good causes by the National Lottery.
Hire of Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is available for private hire at times when it is not being used by the Bowling Club. Further details can be found on the page headed ‘Hire of Clubhouse’ elsewhere on this website.
Evening Social Event
The next evening social event will be a Race Night to be held on Friday 20 February commencing at 7.30pm in the Clubhouse.

Men’s Division B Cup Winners
The Men’s team has now received the Hore Belisha Cup for coming top of Division B of the Evening League in 2014. The cup was presented by The Rt Hon Leslie Hore Belisha, Secretary of State for War in 1939, to the Plymouth & District Bowling League in 1947. The Club had previously won the Cup in 2002.
