Charity Day 2016

The Bowls Club held its Charity Day on Sunday 14 August. Nearly 40 members took part in the afternoon’s games and over £600 was raised towards the cost of buying a Defibrillator for use at the Club. The dress theme was ‘red, white & blue’ to commemorate the Queen’s 90th Birthday and in support of Team GB at the Olympics.

Thank you Yvonne for a wonderful Charity Day – we all really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for all the hard work that went into the day and to the ladies who made a delicious tea – and the sun shone!!!!!

A most enjoyable Sunday afternoon. My family came to support the charity and said it was a lovely atmosphere. Well done.
