The Club’s social events sub-committee, headed by Pauline & Jeff Sawyer, put on an excellent Horse Racing event on Friday 15 March. Over 80 people attended for a fun evening and also enjoyed a buffet of pasties, sausage rolls, doughnuts & chocolate muffins. Thanks to Margaret & Ann for all their sterling work in the kitchen. The Tote Team of Hilary & Sandra, alongside Vic & Barry, worked extremely hard to make sure the event ran smoothly. It was a very busy night for the bar, managed superbly by Chas & Brenda. The final figures aren’t yet available, but it is anticipated that a considerable amount was raised for Club funds. Special thanks to all those who attended and contributed to an extremely enjoyable social event. The next event in the calendar is a Skittles Evening on Friday 5th April – contact Margaret Davies if you wish to attend.
What a brilliant night which, as usual, was made memorable by the fantastic efforts of all mentioned. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
