Tavistock Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club opened their season for 2024 on Saturday 13 April with 42 members taking part. After the weeks and months of incessant rain, players enjoyed a lovely sunny & dry afternoon. They also enjoyed an excellent tea halfway through the game, with cakes & savouries donated by members.
Wonderful afternoon and we were blessed by good weather – the sun shines on the righteous! Thank you to the great team of ladies who worked so hard to provide a superb tea. A huge thank you to Brian Davis for all his hard work preparing the Green – without his hard work, we would not have been able to play.
